This summer our Scouts BSA Boy and Girl Troops will be attending Camp Woodruff in the mountains of North Georgia. The week they are attending is July 14th-20th . During their week at Woodruff they will be enjoying free time White Water Rafting, Mountain Biking, Mountain Boarding, Horse Back Riding and so much more. Since they will be in the mountains they will also enjoy 10 degree cooler days and nights and NO mosquitoes :)

For the first time in 50 years the World Scout Jamboree is being held in the US at the  beautiful Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia July 22 - August 2, 2019 . Local contingent consist of 36 scouts and 4 adult leaders. Cost for attend Jamboree is $2500 for 10 days and is all inclusive. This is the experience of a lifetime for most scouts. Age requirement is 14-17 years of age (age at the time of Jamboree)  Unlock a new world and experience scouting as you never have before as you spend 2 weeks with 70,000 scout from all over the world.

We currently have 2 members from our troop representing Clermont and 998 on the local contingent. Elijah Kelly is a 15 year old Eagle Scout and was elected the local contingent troop's Chaplain Aid for Wojam. Joshua Strickland is also 15 and a Tenderfoot scout working his way to 1st class and Star by the time Jamboree starts.
