Troop 210 respects and protects the privacy of our members and those who visit our site. Our policy is to acquire personal information only when needed and only by overt means. Information will only be used for its intended purpose and will not be shared with third parties like the media without written consent.

Troop 210 intends to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). COPPA protects the personal information of children under the age of 13.

The public site is intended as our public presence on the Internet. No personal information will be shared in this area without explicit written permission from the party involved.

The private site may be accessed only by authorized members. Members are directed to protect their password information at all times and not to share it. This authorization may be revoked at any time to preserve the integrity of the private information contained therein.

The private site will contain personal information of its members that is similar to that required in paper form when registering with the Boy Scouts of America. Only the basic information (i.e. name, address, phone, and email) needed to contact members of the troop is required. Membership in the troop implies consent to store this contact information on the private site. This consent may be revoked with written notification from the member.

Consent is implied for photographs and certain other information to be uploaded to the private site for those members exercising their online user privileges, i.e. logging into the site. This consent may be revoked with written notification from the member.

Program-specific information may be uploaded to aid in the execution of Troop 210 programs. Examples include, but are not limited to, advancement progress and other recognition.

Troop 210 uses the services provided by Scoutlander.com over the Internet to maintain this website. It is not responsible for the tracking of IP addresses, which cannot be traced to an individual without the cooperation of the Internet Service Provider. Troop 210 is not responsible for the use of any cookies or session tokens that may be required, and it assumes no knowledge of whether or not these cookies contain any identifiable private information. It is the user's responsibility to delete their own browser cache to erase this data.
