2021
  • January 15-18: Winter Camp @ Heart of Virginia Scout Reservation – We need to know ASAP if you plan on attending. $61/youth (plus additional fees if applicable); $56/adult – includes meals & activities. Some merit badges may have an additional cost.
2020
  • January 11: Public Speaking Merit Badge – Richmond’s First Baptist Church 8am-4pm
  • January 17-20: Winter Camp: Winter Camp @ Heart of Virginia Scout Reservation – We need to know ASAP if you plan on attending. $61/youth (plus additional fees if applicable); $56/adult – includes meals & activities. Some merit badges may have an additional cost.
  • February 7-9: VA Beach Aquarium Trip Campout – Camping at Pipsico Scout Reservation; $22/person
  • February 11: Grace Café – Serving Kielbasa; Scouts be there ASAP; adults starting @ noon; service hours apply
  • February 15: Pack 2877 Pinewood Derby @ CPC Fellowship Hall starting @ 11 am
  • March 13-15: Shotgun Shooting Merit Badge Campout - Camping at Albright Scout Reservation and traveling to Amelia Wildlife Management to complete MB. ***Scouts must attend all meetings February 17-March 9 to attend this camping trip unless you receive authorization from Mr. Kelley.***
  • June 13: Clean up @ CPC – 8 am, service hours apply
  • July 5-10: Camp Resilience Summer Camp @ Pocahontas State Park - $100/person; need to know NLT 6/1/20 if you are attending; earn 9-12 merit badges
  • September 11-13: Advancement Campout #1 - Camping at Albright Scout Reservation. Completing skills for Scouts 1st Class and below. Scouts 1st Class & Above may help teach younger scouts or complete service time.
  • September 22: Join Scouting Night @ CPC – 5:30-8:30, Wear full Class A Uniform including neckerchief and sash and come help set up, recruit cubs and potential troop members, clean up.
  • October 3: Clean up @ CPC – Starting at 9 am. Service hours apply. Need as many scouts as possible to help with this large responsibility. Bring a mask, work gloves, and a filled water bottle.
  • October 5: Patrol Leader’s Council @ 6 pm – Sr. Patrol Leader, Asst. Sr. Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Patrol Leaders, & Scribe should attend
  • October 12: WE WILL BE MEETING – Even though this is a holiday, we do plan to meet
  • October 13: Grace Café (Drive-Through Style) @ CPC – Let Mr. LaBrecque know ASAP if you can help with this. Need adults beginning @ 1 pm. Service hours apply.
  • October 16-18: Advancement Campout #2 – Camping at Albright Scout Reservation. Completing skills for Scouts 1st Class and below. Scouts 1st Class & Above may help teach younger scouts or complete service time.
  • October 23-25: Rifle Shooting Merit Badge Campout – Camping at Albright Scout Reservation and traveling to Amelia Wildlife Management to complete MB. ***Scouts must attend all meetings September 28-October 19 to attend this camping trip unless you receive authorization from Mr. Kelley.***
  • October 24: Help with Yard Sale @ CPC (if you are not camping) – See Mr. LaBrecque for details
  • October 26: Unit Elections – Sr. Patrol Leader & Patrol Leaders election for both troops
  • October 30-November 1: Camping with Pack 2877 for Creepy Forest – Camping at Albright Scout Reservation. Troops will run a “creepy trail” on Halloween night for the youngest cubs (Lion-Wolf). Also will help during the day for cub activities. Service hours apply.
  • November 2: New Leadership Takes Over/ Patrol Leader’s Council @ 6 pm –  Sr. Patrol Leader, Asst. Sr. Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Patrol Leaders, & Scribe should attend
  • November 30: Court of Honor (Awards Ceremony) – Come see your Scout earn all of the awards they’ve earned
  • November 6-8: Camping trip TBD
  • November 9: Uniform Inspections: Wear your full Class A uniform and be ready for inspection
  • November 13-15: Camping trip TBD (may move to December)
  • November 21: Scouting for Food/Bags IN – Bags will be collected and returned to collection sites. More information to come on this later.
  • December 5: EAGLE SCOUT Court of Honor for Ethan Willis – 1 pm at CPC in the sanctuary. All scouts who are available should attend to commemorate this prestigious honor to our fellow scout. 
  • December 7: Patrol Leader’s Council @ 6 pm – Sr. Patrol Leader, Asst. Sr. Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Patrol Leaders, & Scribe should attend
  • December 12: Holiday Party @ LaBrecque House 11-5. Bring a dish to share. Bring a Scouting related gift with a $5-10 value to swap with other participants in a white elephant gift exchange. Scouts will be playing Frisbee golf at Goyne Park before the party/exchange.
  • December 21-January 2: NO SCOUT MEETINGS – Winter Break

2019

  • January 12-15 - Winter Camp at T. Brady Saunders

  • Jan 21- Building Pinewood Derby Outlaw Cards - Fellowship Hall

  • Jan 28- Order of the Arrow Elections, All Scouts Should Attend

  • Feb 9- Pinewood Derby Day. Scouts to help run race. Outlaw Race Afterwards.

  • Feb 10- Scout Sunday at Chester Presbyterian Church. Scouts of all faiths should attend.

  • Feb 11 - Meeting on Tuesday 12th, no meeting Monday

  • Feb 12 - Scouts are cooking dinner at Grace Cafe, need adults starting at 1 pm, Scouts Arrive asap.

  • Feb 16- Dutch Oven Cooking, Advancements

  • Feb 25 - Court of Honor @7pm, bring a covered dish

  • March 5th and 12th - Monday night meeting, Orienteering classroom, need to be present both nights and go on camp out to obtain the merit badge.
  • March 16,17,18 - Orienteering and Dutch Oven Cooking, Camp Albirghts
  • April 20, 21, 22 - Metal Smithing - Camping at Albrights
  • March 5th and 12th - Monday night meeting, Orienteering classroom, need to be present both nights and go on camp out to obtain the merit badge.

  • April 30th at Hopewell Community Pool - All Scouts are required to take the swim test annually.

  • May 18,19,20 - Hiking up Mt Pleasant in Amherst County, Camping at Hog Camp Gap

  • May 21 - Final Summer Camp payments are due 

  • June 8 - Scout Night at Southside Speedway- If there is enough interest by our scouts we could do this as a troop event.

  • June 10 - Camp Card Sales Fundraiser at Bass Pro 10am - 2pm, meet at church at 8:30am

  • June Summer Camp 24th - 30th.

  • July 27, 28, 29 - Boating

  • August 7 (Tuesday) - Our Troop is helping Mid Cities Civic Association with their the second year of National Night Out.  This will be a fun community service event.  Service hours will be earned for attending and helping out.
  • August 17, 18, 19 - Kayak James River @James River State Park
  • September 22 (maybe 23rd also - Ethan's Eagle Scout Project at YMCA, Be there at 8am 

  • September 24, Monday Meeting - pick up info for PopCorn Sales, Parents are invited.  All proceeds goes to individual Scout accounts to raise funds for their summer camp fees.

  • October 8th - Court of Honor

  • October 19, 20, 21 - First Aid in the woods  (with wounded victims needing Scouts first aid help) @Albrights

  • October 27 - Scouting for Food.  Bags Out, meet at the Church at 8:30am

  • November 1st & 2nd, Thursday and Friday. We will be passing out flyers at the Arby's at 6541 Bayside Lane, Midlothian between the hours of 4:30-8:00 pm.  

  • November 3rd, Saturday. Scouting for Food.  Bags In, meet at the Church at 9:30am.

  • November 16, 17, 18 - Olympics Obstacle course team race - @Albrights
